Printing $100 Garments

As a contract decorator taking responsibility of your customer’s product can be nerve-racking, especially when the numbers are big or the per piece price is high.  And of course high-end products always have a high-end difficulty factor.  We recently ran a print on some very pricey jackets by Lululemon.  Aside from taking our time to setup properly and taking time and care on press, we were sure to take time with our customer and explain that the reality of spoilage in screenprinting is not suspended when printing expensive products.  Our customer fully understood that 2% spoilage would amount to hundreds of dollars.  And while we took extra special care on this project (charging accordingly, of course), there was a sense of relief knowing that all parties were on the same page.
