Please Don’t Throw Your Love Away

Here at Ink Kitchen we love combining design and screen printing with doing good work for good causes, so this project in Tokyo that combines screen printing, social activism and a streetwear vibe naturally caught our eye.

Please Don’t Throw Your Love Away is an art project founded by Shunji Hironaka in 2018. After seeing the plight of homeless people while he was living in Los Angeles, Hironaka started hand screen printing t-shirts to give away to people living on the streets. The aim is to connect with people who exists outside conventional society and to share a message of compassion through art. Merch is for sale on the website and all profits go to support the project.

Just goes to show that even if your screen printing set up is about as simple as you can get, you can make a big impact with good design and a great idea.
