Mis-Print Monday: 480 Bomb

This Mis-Print Monday comes from our buddy Joe Matarazzo of Good Fellas Merch.  The shocking video almost say’s it all but here’s the story from Joe himself:

A can of screen opener fell onto the dryer belt, then rolled into the heat chamber and must have slipped off the belt and lodged itself somewhere inside of the dryer. No one is certain how long it was in there for but it couldn’t have been very long because we had just started our morning. We heard a very loud “POP!” which was immediately followed by a huge burst of flames from every end of the dryer. Our crew reacted quickly to put out the flames and turn the dryer off. We had to open the dryer and pry the can out because it was stuck and melted onto the inside of the dryer. Thankfully no one was close enough that they were injured and the only damage was 1 shirt and obviously the poor can of 480.

It could have been a much worse situation, especially if we were running heavy production and we are definitely taking it as a lesson learned. Needless to say we now have a very strict rule that nothing is allowed on the edges of the dryer.

    1. Good idea, but sort of depressing like when run down neighborhoods have walls topped with glass and edges of stoops have spikes to keep people from sitting down. It symbolizes a breakdown of order.
