Mis-Print Monday: A Bit of a Stretch

We recently ran a pre-production sample print on this 100% cotton fleece boxer.  Our client was most concerned about achieving a clean print over the seam.  Done.  However, we received a complaint that the ink was cracking at the point of the seam.  We didn’t have any of Rutland’s new Endurance Plus ink on hand and dye-migration was not a major concern anyway so went with a custom mixed white ink using Spand-e-sol clear base (also from Rutland) and resampled.  The stretch characteristics of the new ink made the print more playable and solved the cracking issue.  Luckily this was just a sample print and not a production run as it could have been a real disaster.
